“Old fashioned personal service – that’s what is missing,” said Jim Tagtmeyer when he decided to open CIW in July of 2000. “The foundation of our company is built on that simple concept.”

After working in the industry for over 25 years, as a plant manager, in sales, and in administrative roles for large national companies, Jim realized there was a tremendous opportunity to create a successful company built on what customers really appreciate – and what seems to be missing in large companies -- personal attention to their needs.

“The members of the CIW Team are not just order takers,” said Jim. “They have extensive technical backgrounds and are dedicated to working one-on-one with our customers in specing, designing and recommending the best material solutions for their particular situations”.

“We are selective with the customers we deal with,” said Jim. “Our team is focused on providing the highest quality personal service possible and on providing access to insulation and wire materials of the world class manufacturers we represent.”
